Yet again, Ms Jerrome-Norrgard has written a passionate collection of poems, although this one isn't as dark as ones I've previously read. Self-doubt shines through in this one--a place we've all been, especially when we fear losing love. My two absolute favourites are Not Enough and Slipping into Evening. The poet manages to state her fears, hopes and thoughts crisply and succinctly, and as I read, I felt like I was in another place with her, in the moments she is conveying. The author's writing is maturing and this is a wonderfully written collection.Product details

Ignore the fact that Amber Norrgard is a friend and occasional writing partner. 'Slipping Into Evening' is simply a terrific collection of poetry from a talent that just keeps getting better. The prolific Ms. Norrgard has delivered an intoxicating, beautiful, soulful set of works that shows the real her with an air of mystery. Highly recommended. I only withhold the fifth star in my rating because I believe she can keep getting better.
Author Amber Norrgard pours her heart into the pages of this latest collection. She is honest and real as she tackles demons all of us must face. I've long admired this about her writing - it is not long-winded prose, needing a degree in English literature to understand. That said, I think the book could benefit from stronger metaphors and less predictable meter. Still, an amazing collection, and well worth slipping into evening.
Every Time I start to read a new book of Amber Jerome~Norrgard I know I will not be disappointed..
In this book we can sense the fears of a very powerful soul, the love that she feels and share with the people who are close to her but also her gratitude for life .
I admire the way she express her thoughts, so openly with no holding back her own doubts as woman , lover or mother .
If you reading this Author for the first time you will be impressed by her ability to create feelings through simple words!!
Again I found in her poems some amazing thoughts that I'm sure I will read more than one times !!
